Ariana Grande's highly anticipated eighth studio album is releasing this week, and New Yorkers will get the chance to hear the album at listening parties across the Empire State!
"Petal," which is executive-produced and co-written by Grande and her longtime collaborator Ilya, releases on Friday, July 31.
In an interview clip with Apple Music, Grande said she wrote this album from a place of "unfiltered rage," which she said she is usually "too shy to tap into."
"I think they'll [Grande's fans] feel familiarity and comfort in it because it just feels like it pulls from many different parts of myself and yet at the same time, it is very experimental and different for me."
The new album comes in the middle of Grande's "Eternal Sunshine Tour," which
she performed five shows of in Brooklyn in July. Now, fans across New York state will get the chance to listen to "Petal" at 13 different record stores participating in release parties.
