Why is the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ premiere two nights?
Season 35 is starting with a two-night premiere that splits the celebrities by gender.
The men will compete Tuesday night, with each dancing to a No. 1 song from the year they were born. One male celebrity will be eliminated at the end of the night.
The
women will compete Wednesday under the same format, with one female celebrity eliminated.

The judges are Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough are hosting.
