The Buffalo Bills released a former 1,000-yard wide receiver to make room for a Buffalo native.
The Bills signed C Sincere Haynesworth and released WR Mac Dalena on Thursday as Buffalo prepares for cutdown day when NFL teams trim their rosters to 53 players on Sunday. Buffalo hosts the Pittsburgh Steelers at 7 p.m. Thursday at Highmark Stadium.
Who is Sincere Haynesworth?
The offensive lineman was born in Buffalo and played high school football at Pearland High, outside of Houston, Texas.
The Tulane University grad was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans Saints, and has spent time on the practice squads of the Saints, Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots. Most recently, the hulking 6-foot-1, 300-pound lineman signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks of the UFL
in January.
Who was Mac Dalena?
Dalena hauled in 64 passes for 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns across 13 games in 2024 at Fresno State. That opened the door for him in the NFL, but he hasn't been able to find a lasting spot.
