A 40-year-old man was killed in a shooting Friday night on Garson Avenue in Rochester, according to the Rochester Police Department.
Shooting reported on Garson Avenue
Police officers were called around 10 p.m. Sept. 18 to the 400 block of Garson Avenue for a report of a person shot in the street.
Officers found a 40-year-old man with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police have not identified the man.
No suspects in custody
The motive for the shooting is unknown, and no suspects were in custody as of Saturday, according to police.
It also was not immediately known whether the killing was related to a shooting reported about 10 minutes earlier near 1300 E. Main St., police said.
The Major Crimes Homicide Unit is investigating.
