Man shot, killed leaving Rochester bar parking lot identified

Police have identified a man who was shot while leaving a parking lot on East Main Street in Rochester earlier this month.

Here's what we know about the homicide:

Man shot while leaving parking lot

Emergency responders were called to East Main Street near Indiana Street, by East High School, around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, according to Rochester police Capt. Frank Umbrino.

Andre Cleveland, 32, was driving out of a parking lot near a bar when someone shot him, Umbrino said.

Cleveland died from his injuries four days later, according to police.

Police say man was not intended target

Umbrino said detectives "do not believe Cleveland was the intended target."

Police continue to investigate the deadly shooting. No charges have been filed in connection with Cleveland's death.
