A 31-year-old man is facing felony charges after Genesee County sheriff's deputies said he allegedly attempted to kill a juvenile during a disturbance at a residence in the Town of Alabama.
Man charged after disturbance
Deputies responded around 7:40 a.m. Sept. 17 to a call for service on Macomber Road in Alabama, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
During their investigation, deputies learned a separate disturbance had occurred at a residence on Judge Road. Investigators determined that Colton Arlington-Mark Martin, 31, allegedly attempted to kill a juvenile at the residence, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Martin was taken into custody without incident.
Charges filed
Martin was charged with:
- Attempted second-degree murder, a Class A-II felony
- Attempted first-degree assault, a Class B felony
- First-degree reckless endangerment, a Class D felony
- Second-degree strangulation, a Class D felony
- Endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor
Martin was arraigned in Genesee County CAP Court and held on $150,000 bail. He is scheduled
to appear in Genesee County Court at a later date, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
