While most of Week 3 action in Section V football took place Friday night, four games on Saturday moved the area high school season one step closer to its halfway point.
The Greece Arcadia Titans are standing tall. A runaway 40-12 win over the merged Edison team improved Arcadia's record to 2-1. Arcadia went 1-7 in 2025.
East Rochester/Gananda scored a lot of points and kept Rochester Prep off the scoreboard during a 49-0 win over the Tigers. It was the first win of the season for the Bombers, who opened against LeRoy/Caledonia-Mumford and Geneva.
Red Jacket, a team expected to merge with Midlakes next season, also picked up its first win of the season.
Penn Yan/Dundee has won two of its first three games after defeating Marcus Whitman/Bloomfield

Here are some of the top performances on Saturday in Section V football:
Jackson Childs, Greece Arcadia: Threw two passes for touchdowns and had a rushing touchdown while the Titans went on to a 40-12 win over Edison/School of the Arts/Padilla at Franklin/Wilson. Childs completed 15 of his 24 passes for 270 yards. Eight of the completions were to Drake Sapp, who finished with 145 receiving yards, including a touchdown. Sapp also played defense, and returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown.
Robbie Dettman, East Rochester/Gananda: Threw 43-yard and 23-yard passes for touchdowns while the Bombers defeated Rochester Prep, 49-0. On defense, Mason Loria scored the final touchdown with a 65-yard interception return and made four tackles.
Brighton Grant, Penn Yan/Dundee: Two rushing touchdowns, while finishing with 91 yards on 13 carries, during a 32-0 win over Marcus Whitman/Bloomfield.
Jaxson Ham, Red Jacket: The Cardinals defender had a fumble recovery and an interception in Red Jacket's 16-7 win over Cardinal O'Hare. Brayden Bacon also recovered a fumble.
Greyson Hathaway, Penn Yan/Dundee: Gained 158 yards on 20 carries to help his team roll to a 32-0 win over Marcus Whitman/Bloomfield. Hathaway also made six tackles with the Penn Yan/Dundee defense. Enzo D'Amico, who rushed for 90 yards on eight carries with a touchdown, intercepted a pass and made two tackles.
Owen Munding, East Rochester/Gananda: Junior running back/linebacker scored five touchdowns, as the Bombers defeated Rochester Prep 49-0. Munding scored four rushing touchdowns, including one for 53 yards, and also reached the end zone for a 53-yard reception. He finished with 115 rushing yards on just seven carries and also made six tackles.
Elijah Truesdell, Greece Arcadia: Rushed for a touchdown and gained 190 yards on 14 carries in a 40-12 win over the Edison merged. Titans teammate Michael Ayala finished with three catches for 71 yards, including a touchdown.
Barrett Wetherbee, Red Jacket: Reeled off 199 yards on 21 carries, including a 3-yard touchdown, in a win over Cardinal O'Hare. Wetherbee also had an interceptione. Jason Hutson had the team's other touchdown.
