The Buffalo Bills hit undo.
One day after releasing outside linebacker Mike Danna and promoting cornerback Anthony Kendall from the practice squad, Buffalo reversed the moves Tuesday.
The Bills re-signed Danna to the active roster and released Kendall.
Kendall at least got plenty of use out of his brief stay.
He played 31 of Buffalo’s 82 defensive snaps and 15 more on special teams in Monday night’s 37-34 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams, filling in at nickel cornerback with Dee Alford sidelined by an ankle injury.
Kendall recorded three tackles in his first regular-season appearance since 2023.
Buffalo signed Kendall from the practice squad Monday to help cover its injuries in the secondary. The Bills released Danna to create the roster
spot.
Less than 24 hours later, they switched back.
Danna originally signed a one-year contract with Buffalo in May after spending six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. He made 49 starts, recorded 21.5 sacks and won two Super Bowls with Kansas City.
Danna, 28, made Buffalo’s initial 53-man roster but appeared in only one of the Bills’ first four games. He played nine defensive snaps in Week 2 after Ed Oliver suffered a hip injury during pregame warmups against the Detroit Lions.
That was his only appearance for Buffalo before Monday’s release. His only statistical contribution was one quarterback hit.

Kendall could return to Buffalo’s practice squad if he clears waivers.
The 26-year-old originally signed with the Bills in August before being released during final roster cuts and re-signed to the practice squad.
Kendall entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Tennessee Titans in 2023. He made Tennessee’s initial 53-man roster as a rookie and appeared in 16 games, recording nine tackles.
Monday marked his first regular-season appearance since that rookie season.
Buffalo’s latest roster shuffle comes as the Bills prepare for Sunday’s away game against the Las Vegas Raiders and wait to see whether Alford can return from his ankle injury.
