The change took effect with the July 25 drawing through a partnership between the Multi-State Lottery Association and Allwyn UK, which operates the U.K. National Lottery.
The expansion is expected to increase ticket sales and could lead to jackpots growing more quickly between drawings.
For U.S. players, the game remains unchanged. Tickets cost $2, drawings are held three times a week and the jackpot odds remain 1 in 292.2 million.
