The Buffalo Bills' roster cuts are complete.
Buffalo trimmed its roster to 53 players ahead of Sunday's NFL deadline, releasing or waiving more than 30 players over the final weekend of the preseason.
The cuts included several veterans, including safety Geno Stone, wide receiver Trent Sherfield and fullback Ben VanSumeren. The Bills also traded center Sedrick Van Pran-Granger to the Indianapolis Colts
.Rookie defensive lineman Zane Durant was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return. Wide receiver Tyrell Shavers will start the season on the physically unable to perform list. Defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis will serve a three-game suspension to begin the season.

Several of those players could be back in Buffalo quickly.
Players with fewer than four accrued NFL seasons who were waived must first clear the waiver process Monday before they can sign with a practice squad. Vested veterans who were released are free to sign with another team.
The Bills can begin assembling their practice squad Monday after waiver claims are processed.
