Popular casual Italian-American restaurant chain Olive Garden wants to open a location on the site of the former UNO Pizzeria & Grill at 931 Holt Road in the Towne Center at Webster.
The Webster Planning Board will consider Olive Garden’s proposal at its meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 6 at Webster Town Hall, 1002 Ridge Road.
The restaurant would have seating for more than 200 people and a to-go area.
Known for serving unlimited homemade soup or salad and warm garlic bread sticks with its entrées, Olive Garden now is running a never-ending pasta bowl special for $14.99.
The Webster UNO closed on New Year’s Eve 2024 and was the chain’s last remaining location in upstate New York.
Currently, there are three Olive Garden restaurants in the greater Rochester
area — in Greece, Henrietta and Victor.
Based in Orlando, Olive Garden has 953 restaurants across the United States.
A 2026 study published by YouGov revealed that Olive Garden is the most-considered restaurant by baby boomers, Gen Xers and millennials, although boomers picked it by a larger margin. The question put to participants was: When you are in market next to purchase food or drink, from which of the following would you consider purchasing?
Gen Z was the outlier, ranking Chili’s first and Olive Garden second.
