Chicken Salad Chick, a popular fast-casual chicken salad restaurant chain, plans a Rochester location, according to a recent company press release.
Chicken Salad Chick restaurants feature more than a dozen chicken salad flavors served by the scoop, sandwich or bowl. The menu also offers homemade pimento cheese and egg salad, as well as fresh sides, soups and desserts.
The company said it has signed a franchise development agreement that will bring 25 restaurants to communities across upstate New York including Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and the Upper Hudson Valley. It did not provide information about specific locations or timelines.
Chicken Salad Chick was founded in 2008 in Auburn, Alabama. Brentwood Associates, a private equity firm,
acquired the company in 2019. The chain now has more than 330 restaurants across 22 states. In 2025, the company awarded nearly 100 new franchise restaurant deals and opened 42 locations across 14 states.
