For the 2026 elections, Brighton residents will cast their ballots for town supervisor and town clerk.
Both the Brighton supervisor and the town clerk serve a two-year term.
This year, we asked the supervisor candidate what issues he planned to prioritize, if elected. Where candidates did not respond, question areas are left blank. The online version of this story will be updated if candidates respond subsequent to online publication.
Polls are open for regular voting between 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3. You can look up where to vote at voterlookup.elections.ny.gov. We'll have live Monroe County election results as they become available at democratandchronicle.com.

Nate Salzman, a first-time town board member, secured the backing of the Brighton Democratic Committee over longtime incumbent Bill Moehle in February. Moehle, supervisor since 2012, did not pursue a primary race; his tenure ends at the conclusion of 2026.
Salzman announced his campaign in mid-January. He promised "radical transparency" and more communication with residents, with a focus on small business, housing growth and affordability.
