It was an eventful week in Section V girls soccer. With one or two games remaining, Aquinas (14-0-0 entering the week) is the area's last undefeated team after Kendall suffered its first loss of the season.
While Section V lacks a top-ranked team in this week's New York state rankings for the first time all season, the overall total jumped to 22 (up one from last week).
Biggest rise: It's been a roller coaster ride for Wheatland-Chili in the state rankings this season. The Wildcats' weekly spot flipped from 15th to sixth back to 15th and now fourth, following a win over previously undefeated Kendall.
Biggest fall: Kendall's loss to Wheatland-Chili dropped the Golden Eagles from first to fifth in Class C. Penfield also fell four spots, but the Patriots
remain the only state-ranked team from Section V in AAA.
