Your vote will determine who will be the Turf Masters Girls Sports Athlete of the Week for August 31 - September 6. The players' credentials are listed above the poll — which will be live until 8 p.m. Thursday. The winner will be announced on our Instagram page Friday.
The nominees are chosen by our sports reporters. If you would like to call attention to an athlete's performance to be considered for the nomination, please email sports@democratandchronicle.com. All athletes who play on Section V girls teams are eligible to be nominated.

Bailey Caton
LeRoy girls soccer player picked up three goals and one assist in the Oatkan Knights’ shutout win against Dansville
on Thursday.
Ryann LaRue
Newark/Lyons girls soccer goalkeeper made 20 saves and was named MVP of the Taylor Bliss Memorial Tournament following her team’s 1-1 draw against Canandaigua in the championship. Newark/Lyons won 3-2 on PKs.
Anya McDonell
Irondequoit field hockey goalkeeper made seven saves to turn back Pittsford Sutherland and give the Eagles a 1-0 win in the season-opener for both teams.
Anna Miller
Brighton girls soccer player recorded a hat trick in the Bruins’ win over Irondequoit in Monroe County league action on Friday. Miller also scored in Brighton’s 3-2 in over Victor on Thursday.
Reagan Paolini
Hilton freshman shot a score of 34 over the first nine holes at Mill Creek Golf Club, two-under par, during a victory for the Churchville-Chili/Hilton team.
Lizzy Parrone
East Rochester volleyball player recorded her 500th assist during a three-set victory against Aquinas. Finished the match with eight assists, four aces and one kill.
Natalie Schneider
Penfield volleyball player had 19 kills and six digs to help the Patriots to a four-set win over Pittsford Sutherland.
Allie Skeval
Northstar Christian girls soccer player racked up three goals and two assists in the Knights’ victor over Bishop Kearney on Friday.
