This year, Henrietta residents will cast their ballots for a town supervisor seat.
Stephen Schultz is running unopposed for a new term as Henrietta town supervisor.
This is the first even-numbered year for regular town elections following a change in New York's election calendar. As towns transition to the new schedule, only some seats are up for election in 2026. In Henrietta, town supervisor is the only town office on the ballot. The term is two years.
To help inform your vote, we asked the candidate to describe his biggest priority if re-elected.
Polls are open for regular voting between 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3. You can look up where to vote at voterlookup.elections.ny.gov. We'll have live Monroe County election results
as they become available at democratandchronicle.com.

What is the most important issue facing residents in Henrietta, and what would you do about it if elected?
"Affordability is an important issue for our residents. Obviously, a lot of that is outside of the control of a town government. But there are things we can do to help. First and foremost, we can work to keep taxes down – our tax rates are among the lowest in the county. We can provide additional services for our residents – we’ve been adding programs and facilities to do just that. We can work to reduce crime – our partnership with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, including adding a deputy to specifically address areas require special attention in Henrietta, has helped in these efforts. We can make the town a good environment for new housing to help slow down the rapid rise in housing costs – Henrietta is the fastest growing town in the region. If elected, I plan to continue doing these things in order to help our residents deal with the rising costs of living, but to also make the town a more enjoyable place to live, such as pursuing a grant to acquire the Dome Arena complex and working with developers and promoters to bring in major concerts again."
