Keon Coleman became the second Buffalo Bills wide receiver injured in the second quarter Thursday night against the Detroit Lions.
Fortunately for the Bills, he only missed two plays.
Coleman was injured with 1:36 remaining in the first half when his legs became tangled with a Lions defensive back while he was running a route. Josh Allen completed a 6-yard pass to Dalton Kincaid on the play.
Coleman stayed down on the field while members of Buffalo's athletic training staff examined him. He eventually got to his feet and jogged to the sideline under his own power.
Coleman returned to the game two plays later.
The brief injury scare came shortly after Bills wide receiver DJ Moore went to the locker room for X-rays.
Moore was injured while attempting
to make a diving catch from Allen near the Detroit goal line. He came down hard on his left shoulder as a Lions defender landed on him and remained on the field while trainers examined him.
Allen and Bills coach Joe Brady came onto the field to check on Moore before he got to his feet and walked to the locker room accompanied by trainers.
Amazon Prime sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung reported that Moore was questionable to return and undergoing X-rays. Hartung said the Bills were concerned about Moore's shoulder and a possible stinger.
Coleman's quick return prevented the Bills from losing two receivers in a span of less than two minutes of game time.
