National Thrift Shop Day was Friday, and Goodwill has an offer to entice people into its stores.
It's a special Thrift Week Passport Challenge through Aug. 23. The challenge is to encourage shoppers to explore several Goodwill retail training stores, collect stickers, and enter to win a $100 Goodwill gift card, according to a news release from Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA.
Here's how it works:
- Pick up a passport at any Goodwill store in the area.
- Make a purchase at multiple stores to collect stickers for the passport.
- Collect at least eight stickers and submit the completed passport by Aug. 23 for a chance to win a $100 Goodwill gift card.
Goodwill provides education, skills training, and career services to more than 4,000 Augusta-area residents each year. They do that by transforming donated goods into opportunities for people facing barriers to employment, according to a news release from the agency.
