Those traveling westbound on I-20 may want to consider an alternate route.

Just before 8 a.m. Thursday, Georgia Department of Transportation confirmed a truck accident on I-20 westbound, blocking all lanes. There was considerable traffic congestion, and a detour was set up between exit 154 and exit 148 along SR 22. The following photo was shared:

A truck crashed on Thursday, Sept. 24 on I-20 in Georgia.

GDOT could not share any details of the actual crash, including if there were any injuries.

There is no estimated time for when the road will be reopened, but GDOT said it would take "multiple hours" to reopen. The cable barrier will also need to be repaired at a later date, but the priory will be getting I-20 back open.
