- Observed one missing Employee Health Reporting Agreement for a food employee. Employee read and signed form. Have all food employees read and sign the Employee Health Reporting Agreement forms.
- Observed biscuits stored uncovered in the walk-in-cooler. Cover all food when not in use.
- Observed pink and brown buildup inside bulk ice machine and black buildup on ice shoot in front service area. Clean. Increase cleaning frequency to limit buildup.
- Observed clean dishes stored with food debris on them in ware-washing area. Ensure food contact surfaces are properly washed, rinsed, sanitized, and air dried to prevent contamination.
- Observed lettuce and cole slaw held past use-by dates of 8/20/26 and 8/23/26. Discard. Monitor use-by dates and discard when appropriate.
- Observed broken/missing floor tiles, standing water, and walls in need of repair throughout kitchen. Observed 2 dead bugs behind fryer and rice container. Clean. Repair.
Hampton Inn & Suites By Hilton, 3028 Washington Road, Augusta, 88
- Observed no paper towels at the handwashing sink. Ensure all handwashing sinks are fully supplied at all.
- Observed pink and black buildup inside the bulk ice machine. Clean the ice machine. Increase cleaning frequency to limit buildup.
- Observed butane fuel stored with food items. Store chemicals away from food and food contact surfaces.
- Observed debris accumulation and liquid on the bottom of the reach-in-cooler. Clean the RIC. Increase cleaning frequency to limit buildup.
Red Roof Inn, 3030 Washington Road, Augusta, 85
- Observed no Certified Food Protection Manager certification. Obtain certification within 60 days.
- Observed no employee health reporting agreements. Ensure all staff have a signed form. Have copies available for inspections.
- Observed no paper towels for handwashing sink. Ensure all handwashing sinks are fully supplies at all times.
- Observed current inspection not posted within the facility. Ensure the most current inspection is post at all times.
- Observed no test strips for the sanitizer being used. Obtain the proper test strips for the sanitizer bring used.
- Observed drain plug missing from the dumpster and doors left open. Replace drain plug and ensure dumpster doors remain closed when not in use.
Komma Tea, 3450 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, 84
- Observed no Certified Food Protection Manager for the facility. Obtain certification within 60 days from this inspection. Repeat violation.
- Observed no written procedures for vomiting and diarrheal events. Develop written procedures for vomiting and diarrheal events with a sanitizer effective against Norovirus. Repeat violation.
- Observed expired soy milk in RIC in the front with dates of 04/15/26 and 7/22/26. Monitor the dates of the milk and be sure to properly discard them when expired. New violation.
Longhorn Steakhouse, 3241 Washington Road, Augusta, 82
- Observed an employee scoop ice with a cup. Ensure employees use ice scoops at all times to scoop ice instead of cups.
- Observed an employee not wearing a hair restraint and another employee not wearing a beard restraint during active food prep. Employees must wear hair restraints during active food prep. Employees with beards or mustaches half-inch or greater must wear a beard restraints.
- Observed an employee wearing a bracelet during active food prep. Refrain from jewelry on the hands/wrists during active food prep.
- Observed wet nesting of clean dishes. Allow dishes to properly air dry before stacking.
- Observed buildup on cooking equipment and monitors throughout the kitchen. Clean all cooking equipment and monitors. Increase cleaning frequency to limit buildup.
- Observed standing water throughout the kitchen. Clean up standing water and check for leaks.
- Observed the dumpster door left open. Ensure all lids and dumpster doors remain closed when not in use.
