Paris Baguette has only been open for just over a week. Locals discovered it quickly and the long lines grew, but most didn't seem to mind the wait.
Fortunately for guests, the service is quick and the food delicious.
The bakery and café is located in the Mullins Colony shopping center Washington Road in Evans next to CAVA, another popular and growing restaurant chain.
Paris Baguette is a French-inspired bakery café that started in South Korea. It serves fresh bakery items, savory sandwiches, and plenty of hot and cold beverages. Most of the menu items are made from scratch every day, Ramos said.
Justin Tran, Paris Baguette’s district manager, said the restaurant has gotten busier
everyday since opening on Oct. 12.
“We went through last week and then the weekend was crazy,” he said.
He added a second baking shift – one from 2-10 a.m. and another from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. But the 9 a.m. shift ended up staying an extra three to four hours each day, he said.
The pastries and breads are made daily and have been sold out by 8-9 p.m.
Since opening, the Evans store has been averaging selling 5,000 pastries a day, he said. So far, the Sugar Mochi Donuts appear to be the best sellers.

Guests take a tray, tongs, and a sheet of wax paper before surveying the dozens of donuts, pastries, sweet rolls, cakes, cookies and select their pastry items. The line moves quickly and the food is served within minutes.
The sandwiches, salads, wraps, and other items are pre-made daily and can be heated upon request.
During this visit the Pesto Chicken Pizzetta with goat cheese was one of the items ordered. The delicious flaky pastry crust was topped with pepperoni, chicken, tomatoes, marinara sauce, fresh herbs, mozzarella, and goat cheese.
It was heated to melt the cheeses and warm the bread, and it was a easy to eat with hands because of the size and shape.
The Cinnamon Apple Pie also was sampled during this visit. It was a hand-held rectangular pastry with prepared apples and topped with an open-weaved pastry layer. It was baked to a golden-brown color and sprinkled with a bit of sugar. It would be good for breakfast or lunch, or maybe with ice cream melting over the top of it.
Another pastry sampled was The Very Berry Pastry, hand-held pastry that is baked with custard cream, and topped with a sweet lemon cream and fresh berries. Delicious and not too sweet.
And who could resist the “Scream” donut just a few days before Halloween. It was a donut iced with a gray cream and a face made from cookies for eyes, a nose, and mouth draw with piped icing. What kid – or adult -could resist that?
The restaurant sells decorated cakes, and individual slices of cake. The cakes are beautifully decorated with clever designs and icing colors. Cakes can be ordered or purchased in the restaurant. Some cakes are sold by the slice.
Some are seasonal – like the Dirt & Worms Chocolate Chiffon Cake for Halloween. Most are for any occasion. There are sweet treats like donuts, trifle cups, croissants, tarts, and muffins.
And there are plenty of savory items like the Crab Meat Croquette, the 4-Cheese Quiche, and the Hash Brown Bread with Ham & Cheese.
There’s a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, and wraps.
Paris Baguette has many seasonal drinks such as Ghost Pepper Iced Hot Chocolate, Pumpkin Sweet Cream Cold Brew, and Iced Pumpkin Chai Oatmilk Latte. And there’s a long list of coffee-type drinks to choose from.
Paris Baguette plans to soon open another restaurant in Aiken at the Aiken Towne Park, Tran said.
The restaurant has several stores in the Atlanta-area, one in Savannah and one in Athens.
It is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday-Sunday.
