It’s Week 6 of the 2026 high school football season here in Augusta, marking the official halfway point of the season. Teams are now firmly entrenched in region play with hopes of making a mid-season push for a playoff spot.
Augusta Prep (1-4) goes on the road to face St. Andrew’s (1-3). Westside (2-2) will be playing host to Washington County (1-3). Similarly, Putnam County (3-1) will have a big mid-season test when they welcome Aquinas (3-1) to town. Harlem (2-2) will be at home taking on Long County (1-3).
Other games on the slate include Laney (2-2) as they take on Jasper County (2-2), Burke County (2-2) going on the road to face Hephzibah (3-1) and Richmond Academy (4-0) hosting Benedictine (3-1).
