The Aiken County Public School District recently appointed Crystal Hadden as the new principal of Highland Springs Middle School.
Hadden brings nearly 20 years of experience in education and school leadership, according to a school district news release. She began her career as an English teacher in Aiken County Public Schools and Lexington County School District One before moving into administrative roles.
Most recently, she served as assistant principal at Douglas Elementary School in Edgefield County. She previously held leadership positions at Strom Thurmond High School and South Aiken High School.
Hadden said returning to the district is especially meaningful because
of her personal and family ties to the community.
She will begin her new role on Aug. 3 and said she looks forward to working with students, families, staff and the Highland Springs community.
