The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is advising motorists of a temporary road closure in downtown Augusta tied to the Augusta TechNet convention.
The 900 block of Reynolds Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic beginning Tuesday and will remain closed until the morning of Aug. 22. Officials are encouraging drivers to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use alternate routes to avoid delays in the downtown area.
Deputies will be on site throughout the closure to assist with traffic control and help ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians and convention attendees.
