On Monday, WalletHub released its list of the best and worst states for healthcare (which also included Washington DC). This is based on 44 metrics grouped into three categories: Cost, access, and outcomes. These metrics include things like life expectancy, average insurance premiums, and hospital beds per capita.
How good is Georgia healthcare?
Georgia was ranked as one of the worst states for healthcare, landing in the 3rd lowest spot for access and percentage of insured adults. It was also the 6th worst for number of dentists per capita.
Two areas Georgia did better in was the percentage of at-risk
adults with no recent routine doctor visits (18th) and average monthly insurance premiums (22nd).
