International fashion retailer Primark will open its new Augusta Mall location Sept. 24 after postponing its originally planned Sept. 10 debut, according to the company.
The Augusta store will be Primark’s second location in Georgia and its 48th in the United States.
The retailer said in a news release that the Augusta Mall store will feature 28,000 square feet of selling space and offer affordable fashion and everyday essentials. Customers will also find merchandise featuring Georgia sports teams, including the Atlanta Hawks and Falcons.
Opening festivities are scheduled to begin at noon Sept. 24 and will include music and giveaways while supplies last. The Augusta opening follows
the launch of Primark’s first Georgia store at Sugarloaf Mills in Lawrenceville on Sept. 8.
“Primark is excited to have such a busy month in Georgia as it opens not one but two new stores in the state,” Primark U.S. President Kevin Tulip said in a news release. The Ireland-based retailer operates more than 500 stores across 19 countries and employs more than 80,000 people worldwide.
