Investigators are learning more about a 38-year-old woman who died in a shootout with Aiken County Sheriff's Office deputies.
Amanda Buckner died from her injuries at 5:06 p.m. Monday at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was hit at least once by gunfire in the shooting incident on Scotch Lane, according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables.
The coroner’s office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are continuing with the investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for this week.
