A Columbia County special-education paraprofessional who worked with pre-kindergarteners at Greenbrier Elementary School has resigned amid allegations over an "inappropriate photo" of a former student more than a year ago, according to a notice recently sent to families.
"We take reports of this nature extremely seriously and immediately contacted Columbia County School District Police when this information was brought to our attention," Greenbrier Elementary School Principal Ashlee Odom said. "The investigation is currently ongoing; however, the paraprofessional is no longer employed by the Columbia County School District."
No additional details about the allegation have been released while the investigation continues.
