Tony and Grammy Award-nominated actress and singer Megan Hilty will perform with the Augusta Symphony during its ninth annual Gala on Jan. 30 at the Miller Theater.
The event is the orchestra's largest fundraiser, according to a community announcement. Proceeds support Augusta Symphony performances, education programs, and community outreach initiatives.

Hilty will appear with Symphony musicians under the direction of Music Director Dirk Meyer. The evening includes hors d'oeuvres, an open bar with premium beverages and VIP and sponsorship opportunities.
“Welcoming Megan Hilty to perform alongside our musicians will make this a very special evening,” said Sean Mooney, development
director for the Augusta Symphony. “As our largest fundraiser, the Gala also gives our community an opportunity to support the music and programs that continue long after the evening ends.”
Known for playing Ivy Lynn in NBC's "Smash," Hilty made her Broadway debut as Glinda in "Wicked" and originated the role of Doralee Rhodes in "9 to 5 The Musical." She earned a Tony Award nomination for "Noises Off" and most recently received Tony and Grammy nominations for originating the role of Madeline Ashton in "Death Becomes Her."
Tickets go on sale Oct. 15. More information is available at augustasymphony.com. Sponsorship and VIP inquiries can be directed to sean@augustasymphony.com or 706-826-4705.
