Augusta business leaders and philanthropists Allan and Ursula Soto have committed $1 million to support the Kisner Foundation & Friends Pediatric Development, Behavioral Health & Wellness Center at Wellstar Golisano Children’s Hospital of Georgia, expanding access to developmental and behavioral healthcare services for children across the region.
The donation will fund several initiatives at the Kisner Center, including expanded autism diagnostic services, enhanced collaboration with families and community partners, and the Family Navigator program, which helps guide families through the process from referral and diagnosis to ongoing care.

The Sotos said the gift aligns
with their longstanding commitment to improving outcomes for children with autism through Vinea Capital, the Augusta-based investment firm founded by Allan Soto. Vinea’s portfolio includes ABLE Kids, an autism services provider offering ABA, speech and occupational therapy in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
“Families need more than a diagnosis — they need a clear path forward,” Allan Soto said. “Ursula and I believe the Kisner Center can have a tremendous impact on families throughout this region.”
Wellstar Golisano Children’s Hospital of Georgia, the state’s second-largest children’s hospital, provides a range of pediatric services, including neonatal and pediatric intensive care. The Sotos said they hope the investment will help improve access to early intervention, family support, and specialized care for children and families throughout the Augusta area and beyond.
