The headliner at most stadiums is the actual game, but fans need something to chow down on while they watch. Some in Georgia have gone beyond just hotdogs and peanuts for their food.
Recently, Yelp released this year's list of the top 50 stadiums in the nation for game-day eats
. They reportedly focused on venues where Yelpers consistently praised the game-day dishes in their reviews. Three in Atlanta made the cut:Mercedes Benz Stadium
The home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC ranked No. 2 in the nation. Here's what Yelp said about it:
"Mercedes-Benz Stadium made a promise when it opened — great stadium food shouldn’t cost a small fortune. Nearly a decade in, $2 hot dogs and $5 beers are still on the menu, and Yelpers think every stadium should take notes....But
the real draw is what’s happening beyond the basics. Local favorite Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks delivers grilled ribeye, white American cheese, and diced onions stuffed into a toasted hoagie, and Irie Mon Caribbean Cafe‘s oxtail plate comes loaded with juicy meat, sweet plantains, and rice and peas. "
@dudelovesfood Stop 7/30 on the #dlfnflfoodtour was right in my backyard, @Mercedes-Benz stadium home of the @Atlanta Falcons I had a couple friends join me on this adventure including @Stan's Smoke Signals and I met the good people at @Popcorn Remix. A lot of the food at the stadium is local, which I love, and I finally got to have @Chick fil a 🐮 at the stadium. Huge shout out to @vettix.org for the amazing seats in the @delta club 🫡 Make sure you stayed tuned for the next stop on the Stadium Tour. #dudelovesfood #falcons #atlanta #nfl @Everything Georgia

@dudelovesfood We’re back for our first @MLB game of the season. We’re at @Truist Bank Park home of the @Atlanta Braves braves and the craziest burger in baseball. Before taking in a game, I have to recommend the Bats and Bites tour. You get to go behind the scene into places that are usually off-limits, you can watch batting practice and hang out with a Braves legend while getting some hor duerves before the game. We tried a couple new menu items including the ABSURB Batflip—2 pounds of ground beef, short rib, pork belly, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, 2 fried eggs served on a seven inch brioche bun, the blooperito and a few other staple items. The vibes were high for 80s night and the first couple thousand people the stadium went home with replica Dale Murphy jerseys. We had a great time. Check out Truist Stadium for a Braves game, don’t forget to tell em Dudelovesfood sent you. #dudelovesfood #braves #food
