Rock band performs
What: Ozark Mountain Daredevils Perform
When & Where: 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center at 1000 Market St. in Evans.

For kids with diabetes
What: A back-to-school event is for children and teenagers with Type 1 diabetes and their families.
When & Where: 1-3 p.m. Saturday at The River Golf Club at 307 Riverside Drive in North Augusta.
Details: There will be more than 500 resources available, along with crafts, a bounce house, food, and a station to “make your own low-glucose kit” for school. School nurses will be on hand to answer questions. To register visit https://www.wrdw.com/community/calendar/

Unique sculpture exhibit
What: This is the last weekend to see exhibit by artist John Petrey who created dynamic sculptures from everyday and unlikely materials.
When & Where: Through Sunday at The Morris of Art at 1 10th St., Augusta.
Details: The exhibit includes life-size and tabletop sculptures selected from Petrey’s renowned Dress Series, in which he has transformed rigid materials into fluid, garment-inspired pieces reminescent of 1950s and1960s fashion.
Jazz in the Garden
What: Candlelight Jazz, South Augusta Edition
When & Where: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Belle Terrace Presbyterian Church - Community Garden
Details: This is a free concert by the jazz duo Hobbs + Reid who bring their soulful sounds to the outdoor garden. Bring chairs and a picnic and learn more about the garden.
