The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce has named Nichole Spencer as its new workforce development manager, according to a community announcement.
Spencer will oversee workforce and education programs that connect local employers, schools, and jobseekers. The position also includes leadership of the chamber’s Workforce and Education Committee, support for the Columbia County Chamber Foundation, and oversight of grant and funding development.

“Nichole brings an exceptional depth of experience in education, workforce development, and leadership to the Chamber,” Chamber President and CEO Heath Taylor said in a released statement. “Her experience working with students, educational
institutions, and partners across Georgia will be a tremendous asset as we continue strengthening the connections between education and the needs of our business community.”
Spencer joins the chamber from Augusta Technical College, where she served as vice president for student affairs. Her responsibilities included admissions, financial aid, career services, academic advising, military and veteran services, counseling and student activities.
Before that, Spencer was executive director of student affairs for the Technical College System of Georgia, working with student affairs teams at 22 technical colleges statewide. She also held admissions leadership roles at Columbus Technical College and Chattahoochee Technical College.
