A 46-year-old North Carolina woman was killed Monday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 in Aiken County, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
Clarice McNeil of Lexington, North Carolina, was a passenger in a 2025 Lincoln Navigator traveling west when the crash occurred near the 30-mile marker on I-20. Authorities said McNeil was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:41 a.m., noted the coroner's office.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office responded to the crash along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team. Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
An autopsy
is scheduled to be conducted in Newberry, according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables.
