Nature Rocks returns to Hopelands Gardens on Oct. 11 with crafts, scavenger hunts and interactive exhibits for families and nature enthusiasts.
The fourth annual event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m., according to a community announcement. Friends of Hopelands and Rye Patch and the City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department are partnering to present the program.
Activities include nature crafts, scavenger hunts, demonstrations by local organizations, Story Time with Mother Goose, face painting and a guided history walk through the gardens. A rain date is scheduled for Oct. 18.
“We are thrilled to welcome everyone to Nature Rocks this year,” said Kathy Wise,
event co-chair alongside Tommie Culligan. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with nature in a fun and meaningful way.”
Culligan added, “This year, several new exhibitors will join the many favorites from past years.”
