The City of Aiken is expanding a longtime community tradition with the launch of the inaugural Fall Hopelands Concert Series, a free outdoor music series featuring local performers at Hopelands Gardens.
The concerts will be held at 6:30 p.m. on select Mondays from Sept. 21 through Oct. 12 on the Roland H. Windham Performing Arts Stage. City officials said the series was created in response to residents seeking more opportunities to enjoy live music in the gardens beyond the traditional concert season.
The four-concert lineup includes the Keith Clark Band on Sept. 21, Brooke Lundy and John Vaughn on Sept. 28, The Dusty Angels on Oct. 5, and Lost Dog on Oct. 12. The performances
will showcase a variety of musical styles, from classic rock and country to bluegrass and acoustic favorites.
Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Picnics are permitted, but alcohol is prohibited. Parking will be available at the Green Boundary Club, with handicap-accessible parking at Hopelands Gardens and Rye Patch.
In the event of inclement weather, concerts will move to the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior and Youth Center. Updates will be available through the city’s rain-out hotline, Aiken Explorer app, and social media channels.
