North Augusta shoppers will soon have a new retail option as Marshalls opens its doors at Edgewood Square on Sept. 17.
The off-price retailer, which operates more than 1,200 stores throughout the U.S., will celebrate its grand opening at 171 Edgewood Drive from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sept. 17, according to a news release. The approximately 24,000-square-foot store will offer a range of merchandise including clothing, accessories, shoes, beauty products, home goods, pet supplies, and children's items.
The new store is expected to create about 60 full- and part-time jobs in the area, a news release noted. Regular operating hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily.
As part of the opening
celebration, Marshalls will donate $10,000 to Augusta Dream Center Inc. The company also supports charitable organizations including Breakthrough T1D, the Alzheimer's Association and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Marshalls, founded more than 60 years ago, is known for offering brand-name and designer merchandise at discounted prices, noted a news release.
