Augusta Regional Airport’s seventh annual Meet A Machine event raised $11,201 for Wellstar Golisano Children’s Hospital of Georgia while drawing a record 3,536 ticketed attendees.
The Sept. 12 event featured aircraft, heavy equipment, first responder and military vehicles, a race car, a monster truck and other machines, according to a community announcement. The money will support local children and families through the hospital’s Children’s Miracle Network programs during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
“Each year, Meet A Machine continues to grow, but what makes this event truly special isn't just the attendance; it's the incredible support from our community,” said Herbert
