U.S. Army veteran and local franchise owner Antwaun Wade will play host to the grand opening of his second Smoothie King location on Saturday at Eisenhower Crossing on Harper Franklin Boulevard.
The public is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony from noon to 2 p.m. at the new store, which is located in the Kroger-anchored shopping center near the intersection of Jimmie Dyess Parkway and Gordon Highway. The event will feature giveaways and prizes while supplies last.
Wade opened his first Augusta Smoothie King at the Villages at Riverwatch in April 2024. He said the new location will help serve residents in a growing area of the city, including nearby Fort Gordon.
Eisenhower
Crossing opened in 2024 and is a key commercial hub for the rapidly growing area surrounding Fort Gordon and eastern Augusta.
