Three North Carolina residents were arrested after Aiken County Sheriff's Office deputies discovered thousands of ecstasy pills during a traffic stop on Interstate 20 late Sept. 11.
According to the sheriff's
office, a K-9 deputy stopped a vehicle shortly after 11 p.m. near mile marker 10 on I-20 for a traffic violation. During the stop, deputies deployed a narcotics detection dog and conducted an investigation that led to the discovery of a large quantity of ecstasy pills inside the vehicle.
Authorities said more than 9,500 pills were seized.
Arrested were 33-year-old Ryan Oshea Hall, 35-year-old Ryan Lassiter and 49-year-old Tre-Lamon Applewhite, all of Goldsboro, North Carolina. Each was charged with trafficking in ecstasy.
Investigators also said Hall was wanted in North Carolina on other drug charges.
All three suspects were booked into the Aiken County Detention Center. The investigation remains ongoing.
