Though there's never a shortage of festivals, markets, concerts, and other cultural happenings in the Augusta area, we've chosen to spotlight these events for the weekend of Aug. 21-23.

Nitro Circus 2.0 to put on amazing show
What: Nitro Circus 2.0 brings some of the world's top athletes in FMX, BMX, scooter, and more who will perform adrenaline-fueled stunts, tricks, and plenty of hilarious contraptions off of the one-of-a-kind Giganta Ramp and Next Level kickers.
When & Where: The show begins at 7 p.m. Friday at SRP Park in North Augusta.
Details: Some of the stunts planned are an historic
attempt at a 75-foot backflip through a 35-foot wall of fire, and a 40-foot dive into just 3.5 feet of water. For tickets, visit https://www.milb.com/augusta/events/2026-nitro-circus.

Students showcase their innovations
What: Richmond County students will showcase their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills during the Richmond County School System STEAM Community Showcase 2026.
When & Where: Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the HUB for Community Innovation at 631 Chafee Ave., Augusta.
Details: The interactive event will highlight the students' work in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through exhibits, demonstrations, robotics, creative arts, and other hands-on learning experiences.

Get a checkup on your health
What: Health & Wellness Event
When & Where: Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Augusta Mall next to the escalators near Dillard's.
Details: The Georgia Department of Public Health Community is sponsoring the event where there will be information about resources, health education, as well as information about programs available, and free screenings. The mobile health clinic will be outside the mall between Dillard’s and Macy’s.
Sheriff hosts annual Badges & BBQ event
What: Richmond County Sheriff to host his annual Eugene Brantley's Badges & BBQ community event.
When & Where: Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Pavilions 3 and 4 at Diamond Lakes Park, 4335 Windsor Spring Road in Hephzibah.
Details: The sheriff and members of his department will be there to meet residents, build relationships, and strengthen the partnership between law enforcement and the community. The family-friendly event will include food and drinks and a bouncy house for children.

Music at the Morris on Sunday
What: Singer, songwriter, and actress Gwen Hughes performs.
When & Where: From 2-3 p.m. at The Morris Museum of Art at 1 10th St., Augusta
Details: Gwen Hughes is a singer, songwriter, and actress who will sing fresh takes on jazz, soul, and pop favorites. She will also perform some of her original work. The concert is free, and admission to the museum is free on Sundays.
