with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were fired upon during an operation in Nashville on Aug. 6, the bureau said.
"Today, ATF was conducting an enforcement action related to violations of federal firearms laws in Nashville, Tennessee. During the operation, ATF agents were fired upon," the bureau said in a social media post.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating.
"The scene is safe and there is no danger to the public," the bureau said.
