Kyle Larson entered the NASCAR Talladega race as the leader in the 2026 NASCAR Chase and stretched that lead by winning the YellaWood 500 after holding off William Byron and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Two big wrecks occurred: the first late in Stage 2 and the second near the end of the race, impacting several drivers in the Chase at Talladega Superspeedway
Larson was outside the top 10 on the last mile before he came roaring to the front.
It was Larson's second win in the NASCAR Chase. He also won at Kansas on Sept. 27. He was coming off a 34th-place finish at Phoenix. There are only two races left in the Chase.
