The Tennessee high school football schedule returns to a near-full slate of games for Week 10 in the Nashville area. Only Cannon County and Community have open dates and no games are scheduled for Thursday night, Oct. 22.
Here are the top TSSAA football games in the Nashville area for Week 10.
Game of the week
Clarksville (6-2, 4-0 in Region 5-6A) at Antioch (8-0, 4-0)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
Antioch has likely had this game circled on its calendar since the 2025 season ended. It was the Bears' only regular-season loss last year. Clarksville started this season 0-2 but hasn't lost since, blowing out five of its last six opponents. But Antioch's goal of capturing a region title rests with this game. Clarksville has 2,394 total yards this season, and 2,349 of that comes from its run game, led by Ahvare Galbreath who
has 1,305 yards rushing with 17 touchdowns. Antioch QB Andre Adams has thrown for 1,942 yards and 17 touchdowns and only one interception while a pair of defensive linemen, Fred Ntumba and Daniel Baseswa, have combined for 23 sacks.
Tom Kreager's prediction: Antioch 34, Clarksville 21
Tyler Palmateer's prediction: Antioch 45, Clarksville 20
George Robinson's prediction: Antioch 31, Clarksville 24
Jack Williams' prediction: Antioch 28, Clarksville 14

Baylor (8-0, 3-0 in DII-AAA East) at Ensworth (4-4, 2-1)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
Ensworth is the next Division II-AAA team that gets a chance at stopping the defending state champion Red Raiders and Tennessee football commitment David Gabriel Georges. Georges has been stacking highlight reel-worthy plays for the past two seasons. He has over 1,000 yards rushing this season and will add to that total vs the Tigers.
Kreager's prediction: Baylor 38, Ensworth 14
Palmateer's prediction: Baylor 45, Ensworth 17
Robinson's prediction: Baylor 48, Ensworth 10
Williams' prediction: Baylor 45, Ensworth 7
Goodpasture (7-1, 4-1 in DII-AA Middle) at Battle Ground Academy (7-1, 4-0)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
The loss of BGA quarterback Bo Bryan to a broken collarbone is brutal for the defending DII-AA state champs. He more than answered any questions about BGA's potential for a state title repeat after QB Kaedyn Marable graduated. How this offense functions without Bryan will be interesting to watch as star wide receiver Max Curry played the majority of snaps at QB after Bryan went down in the first quarter of the Wildcats' 35-0 win over Pope John Paul on Oct. 16.
Kreager's prediction: BGA 28, Goodpasture 16
Palmateer's prediction: BGA 31, Goodpasture 14
Robinson's prediction: BGA 27, Goodpasture 17
Williams' prediction: BGA 31, Goodpasture 10
Franklin Grace (6-2, 2-2 in DII-AA Middle) at Franklin Road Academy (5-3, 3-1)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
Franklin Grace couldn't keep up with Goodpasture as the Lions lost their second straight game. Now Franklin Grace faces FRA, a team that beat the Lions 31-0 last year. The Lions will need a monster game from quarterback Carter Pray who has 2,022 yards, 16 TDs and six interceptions.
Kreager's prediction: FRA 31, Franklin Grace 10
Palmateer's prediction: FRA 41, Franklin Grace 17
Robinson's prediction: FRA 35, Franklin Grace 14
Williams' prediction: FRA 45, Franklin Grace 21
Gallatin (6-2, 2-1 in 4-6A) at Lebanon (6-2, 2-1)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
Both teams are coming off losses in Week 9. For Lebanon, its loss to Green Hill snapped a six-game win streak, yet it also gives the Blue Devils a chance to recalibrate against a Gallatin program it has beaten the past two years. While the region title hasn't been secured just yet, Lebanon — who would need help with a Green Hill loss — must beat the Green Wave to have a shot at a playoff No. 1 seed.
Kreager's prediction: Gallatin 20, Lebanon 17
Palmateer's prediction: Lebanon 28, Gallatin 21
Robinson's prediction: Lebanon 28, Gallatin 14
Williams' prediction: Lebanon 28, Gallatin 17
Pearl-Cohn (5-3, 2-0 in 6-4A) at White House (3-5, 1-1)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
As expected, Pearl-Cohn's favorable schedule has provided an emotional lift for a team that had to endure a difficult first four weeks of the season. The Firebirds have won four straight after starting 1-3 and the region title could be decided on Oct. 30 vs Liberty Creek.
Kreager's prediction: Pearl-Cohn 40, White House 13
Palmateer's prediction: Pearl-Cohn 42, White House 10
Robinson's prediction: Pearl-Cohn 35, White House 13
Williams' prediction: Pearl-Cohn 45, White House 6
Lipscomb Academy (6-2, 3-0 in DII-AAA West) at Briarcrest (7-1, 2-1)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
If no one else recognizes Lipscomb Academy as a legitimate threat in DII-AAA, it's remaining opponents may not be sleeping on the Mustangs. Getting past Briarcrest will be no easy task for coach Trent Dilfer's crew, but guarding against looking ahead to a potential region title matchup vs Brentwood Academy in Week 11 will be paramount.
Kreager's prediction: Lipscomb Academy 28, Briarcrest 14
Palmateer's prediction: Lipscomb Academy 31, Briarcrest 28
Robinson's prediction: Lipscomb Academy 24, Briarcrest 21
Williams' prediction: Lipscomb Academy 38, Briarcrest 28
Father Ryan (3-5, 1-2 in DII-AAA West) at Brentwood Academy (6-2, 3-0)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
Speaking of Brentwood Academy, the Eagles return to action after an off week and face a struggling Father Ryan team that has lost two straight and five of its last seven games. Ole Miss football commit Crews Jenkins has carried a heavy load offensively with 1,837 yards passing and 19 touchdowns. Larry Sanders would likely already be over 1,000 yards had nagging shoulder injury not stifled some of his production. He still has 761 yards rushing with 14 TDs.
Kreager's prediction: Brentwood Academy 48, Father Ryan 12
Palmateer's prediction: Brentwood Academy 38, Father Ryan 21
Robinson's prediction: Brentwood Academy 40, Father Ryan 7
Williams' prediction: Brentwood Academy 49, Father Ryan 13
Rockvale (5-3, 2-3 in 3-6A) at Riverdale (7-1, 5-0)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
The state's No. 1 team in 6A hasn't lost since Week 1 of the season and is heading toward another classic showdown with rival Oakland in Week 11. The Warriors are looking for its fourth straight win against the Rockets. Mississippi State commit Gavin Hampton leads Riverdale's offense with 1,598 passing yards with 25 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Kreager's prediction: Riverdale 42, Rockvale 14
Palmateer's prediction: Riverdale 28, Rockvale 14
Robinson's prediction: Riverdale 28, Rockvale 10
Williams' prediction: Riverdale 35, Rockvale 14
Independence (3-5, 3-1 in 6-6A) at Brentwood (7-1, 4-0)
Time: 7 p.m. | When: Oct. 23
The Bruins put their six-game win streak on the line against an Independence team that looked as though it figured out his offensive identity until it lost to Page, 7-3 on Oct. 8. Prior to that, the Eagles average 42 points a game in four previous games.
Kreager's prediction: Brentwood 24, Independence 14
Palmateer's prediction: Brentwood 20, Independence 17
Robinson's prediction: Brentwood 28, Independence 20
Williams' prediction: Brentwood 21, Independence 17
Last week: Kreager (6-4), Palmateer (8-2), Robinson (8-2), Williams (8-2).
Season: Kreager 62-28 (.688). Palmateer 60-30 (.666). Robinson 66-24 (.733). Williams 31-9 (.775).
