Tennessee death row inmate Christa Pike is scheduled to die by lethal injection at 10 a.m. Sept. 30.
Pike, 50, was convicted and sentenced to death for the 1995 killing of Colleen Slemmer in Knoxville.
Slemmer was 19 when she died.
Pike was 18 at the time, the youngest age at which someone can be sentenced to death. She will be the first person put to death in Tennessee for a crime committed at 18 since capital punishment was reinstated in 1976.
If the execution proceeds as scheduled, Pike will also be the first woman killed by the state in more than 200 years, and the fourth ever.
The execution is scheduled to take place at Riverbend Maxiumum Security Institution in Nashville.
