Country star Jelly Roll has announced he's taking a break from the road.
He wrapped up his tour with Post Malone in Salt Lake City on July 28, where Jelly Roll addressed the crowd.
“This has truly been a lifetime experience for me. In a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two," he said. "I’m fixing to take some time off and heal."
The announcement follows the finalization of Jelly Roll's divorce from his wife of ten years, media personality Bunnie XO. The couple filed for divorce back in May, but shared that they still plan on remaining friends and having a baby together.
Over the past five years, Jelly Roll has rocketed into the country music world, maintaining intense career momentum as he racked up No.
1 hits, joined the Grand Ole Opry, won three Grammy Awards, appeared on "Saturday Night Live," performed for the halftime show of the Dallas Cowboys game on Thanksgiving, plus toured with Post Malone, Brantley Gilbert and Sierra Ferrell.
Throughout it all, he seemingly never slowed down.
Many of Jelly Roll's supporters said the "Save Me" singer has earned the right to take a break after years of touring and releasing new music. Some fans have turned to social media to wish him luck in his healing journey.
"It’ll be sad not to see him for a year or two, but glad he is taking some time for himself. I pray God blesses him with whatever healing he is asking for," one person wrote on Facebook.
At the moment, Jelly Roll's website does not list any additional concert dates. Jelly Roll has not publicized an official timeline for his hiatus, but The Tennessean has reached out to his team for comment.
In 2025, Jelly Roll told the crowd at the Music City Rodeo that his headlining performance would be his last show in Nashville for some time. However, he did make a surprise appearance at CMA Fest in June 2026.
“I shouldn’t say this… this will be my last Nashville show until 2027, y’all," he said on stage in 2025. "Hear me out, though. This is why… because I need y’all’s help. I want to be the first act to play Nissan Stadium when it opens in the spring of 2027.”
The new Nissan Stadium is set to open in February 2027, with the Tennessee Titans hosting their first regular-season games there in the fall of 2027. As of Aug. 3, the 2.1 million-square-foot domed stadium is now accepting event bookings, according to the stadium's website.
Perhaps Jelly Roll's return will coincide with the major Nashville opening.
