For years, the mother of a Tennessee woman shot to death grieved and waited.
Brandee Jones' grief is not over, but her wait for answers finally may be.
Police in Millington, Tennessee, about 30 miles from Memphis, in 2022 charged Seth Alexander Walls, 23, first with reckless homicide, then second degree murder in the Sept. 11, 2022 shooting death of 15-year-old Haley Reedy.
Released on bond, Walls missed an arraignment date and became a fugitive, police said at the time.
On Sept. 15, about four years after the fatal shooting, Walls was been taken into custody in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Jones said she was told by multiple Millington officials. They did not return calls from The Tennessean.
"I'm very shocked and relieved at the same time," Jones said.
Jones said officials told her that Walls was arrested in the Slovenian capital city Sept. 12, and has been held until police could positively identify him. He was identified by his passport and a rose tattoo on his right hand, she said officials told her.
U.S. Marshals have been sent to oversee the extradition process, Jones said officials told her.
Millington officials, she said, "confirmed the Slovenian police have him in custody, and it's for sure him. I don't have to worry about him harming anyone else."
The Tennessean was informed on Sept. 14 about Walls' presence in Slovenia by a person living in Ljubljana who had befriended Walls during his time there. The resident did not want to be named, fearing for their safety.
"I am scared," the person said in a series of Facebook messages to The Tennessean. "I don't know what this guy is capable of if he gets released."
The Ljubljana resident provided The Tennessean with screen shots of emails they exchanged with police in Ljublajana and the FBI in the United States. They said they provided Ljubljana police with photos and videos of Walls, showing the rose tattoo, and provided those photos to The Tennessean.
The Ljubljana resident said Walls had been using the name "Colt" and telling people he was from Canada. But, they source said, Walls had a Southern U.S. accent that didn't sound Canadian.
The Ljubljana resident said they alerted local and U.S. authorities after reading about Reedy's shooting death in a post on The Tennessean's"Murder on Music Row" Facebook page.

They said they told a security guard at a bar that one of the regular patrons was wanted for murder in the United States.
"And they held him and gave him over to the police," Ljubljana resident said.
Millington police described the fatal shooting in a statement in 2022.
"Officers responded to a residence where Seth claimed that he left the room and the gun behind and then heard a gunshot. The medical examiner’s office looked at the entry and exit points of Haley’s fatal head wound, the seating arrangement of Seth, Haley and a witness along with the fact that Seth admitted to having possession of the gun.
"It was determined that Seth was the one who allegedly shot Haley and that the injury could not have been self-inflicted. He was originally charged with reckless homicide which would later be upgraded to second-degree murder. Investigators also believe that the witness was in danger of being shot as well.
"Seth would later be released on bond and allegedly attacked another young woman. He missed the bond arraignment date in that case and became a fugitive."
