Two men rammed a van into a Madison gas station and lit it on fire during a Sept. 22 robbery, according to Metro Nashville Police.
The theft began at 3:35 a.m., when a van stolen earlier this month was backed into a Shell station on 1311 Briarville Road, breaking the entrance open. A pair of men then grabbed an ATM from the store and loaded it into a second get-away van, also stolen, before lighting the first vehicle on fire and fleeing the scene, police said.
The front of the store was still blackened as of 2:15 p.m. Police confirmed there were no injuries as a result of the fire, and investigators are actively pursuing the case.
