The Tennessee Titans are relatively healthy heading into their 2026 NFL season opener at Nissan Stadium against the New York Jets.
Linebacker Cedric Gray, who's in the concussion protocol after sustaining injuries in a UTV crash one week before the season's start, is the only primary starter who'll miss this game. In Gray's absence, the Titans elevated veteran linebacker Mohamoud Diabate from the practice squad using a standard gameday elevation.
Rookie running back Nick Singleton is not active for his debut, putting veteran Julius Chestnut in the No. 3 running back role. Fellow draft pick Jackie Marshall, a defensive lineman, is also inactive.
Safety Erick Hallett II is the Titans' other standard elevation off the practice squad.
The Jets are dealing
with a little bit more injury concern heading into the opener. Running back Kene Nwangwu, receiver Tim Patrick and edge defender Joseph Ossai were ruled out for the game earlier in the week, and rookie cornerback D'Angelo Ponds Jr., came into the game listed as doubtful and will not play.
