Tennessee Titans running backs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears both did not practice Sept. 23, according to the team's injury report.
Both backs were held out with ankle soreness, according to Robert Saleh, ahead of the Week 3 game against the New York Giants (noon, CBS).
The Titans' two running backs have had close to a even snap-count split through two weeks (Pollard at 53.4%, while Spears at 42.7%). Pollard has doubled Spears in carries, while Spears has been the featured receiver out of the backfield.
Right guard Fernando Carmona Jr. (shoulder) was a full participant in practice after Saleh said Carmona hurt his shoulder against the Eagles on Sept. 20.
